Tim Fleming holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for the open Georgia secretary of state seat, reflecting the state's partisan balance and the office's central role in administering elections. Both nominees emerged from competitive June runoffs, with Fleming stressing voter ID requirements and fraud prevention while Reynolds highlights voting access, election transparency, and modernizing licensing processes. Georgia's recent risk-limiting audits and clean voter-roll reviews have reinforced baseline confidence in current procedures, yet persistent debates over voting equipment upgrades and turnout patterns in battleground areas sustain uncertainty. With early voting approaching in October, shifts in polling among suburban and rural voters or late campaign endorsements could widen or close the gap before November 3.
