**National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 21 point to a high near 96°F under mostly sunny morning conditions shifting to a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, introducing variability in the daily maximum.** Persistent southerly flow and high humidity support strong surface heating early in the day, but developing convection could trigger earlier cloud cover or localized cooling that caps the peak. Model consensus across NWS guidance shows highs clustered in the mid-90s, with slight differences arising from storm timing and coverage. Recent days of upper-90s readings reflect the ongoing warm pattern, while the wind shift to northerly later Monday may further moderate temperatures. Traders weigh the risk of storms arriving before peak heating against clearer scenarios that allow readings to push into the upper 90s.
