Recent polling for Israel's October 27 Knesset election consistently places Shas in the 7–10 seat range, reflecting voter erosion tied to the ultra-Orthodox draft exemption controversy. The party's hardline stance on conscription has driven traditional Sephardi support toward Likud, Otzma Yehudit, and Yashar, prompting Shas to launch campaign materials featuring IDF soldiers and add a reserve officer to its slate. Internal adjustments, including leadership consultations and candidate list finalization, have not reversed the slide from 11 seats in the prior election. Trader consensus on 8–9 seats aligns with these steady survey averages, while narrower bands account for residual uncertainty around turnout among Haredi and Mizrahi voters.
