Recent polling shows the Texas U.S. Senate race between Democratic nominee James Talarico and Republican nominee Ken Paxton remains closely contested statewide ahead of the November 3 general election, with Talarico holding edges among independents and Hispanic voters while benefiting from a substantial fundraising advantage exceeding $68 million. Paxton's primary victory over incumbent John Cornyn, aided by a Trump endorsement, positioned him as the GOP nominee but also highlighted ongoing scrutiny over his legal history and a July investigation into his Collin County voter registration address. Talarico's advertising dominance and focus on economic and local issues have sustained momentum in suburban areas like Collin County. Minor-party candidates and write-ins factor into the multi-outcome market at even pricing. Key upcoming catalysts include October early voting, potential debates, and any further developments on residency or campaign finance disclosures that could shift suburban voter preferences.
