Both Columbus Crew and Orlando City SC enter their U.S. Open Cup semifinal matchup with comparable challenges that keep implied probabilities tightly clustered near even odds. Columbus sits 13th in the Eastern Conference after a mixed league campaign marked by defensive vulnerabilities and multiple absences, including key players sidelined with knee, ankle, and foot issues. Orlando holds eighth place but has conceded heavily in recent outings while missing personnel with thigh and foot concerns. Recent form shows neither side dominating consistently, with Columbus rebounding via a 3-0 result and Orlando maintaining mid-table stability. Historical head-to-head results and the single-elimination cup format further balance the contest, as both teams prioritize advancement amid limited rest and roster depth constraints.
