Incumbent Mayor Jeff Fawcett holds the leading trader consensus at 60% for the October 28, 2026, Brandon, Manitoba mayoral election after registering for re-election in May 2026, while the sole other registered candidate, former city councillor and Brandon East MLA Len Isleifson, sits at 33.5%. Fawcett’s positioning reflects his first-term record on financial stability, regional partnerships, housing expansion with over 400 new units, and public safety investments, reinforced during his spring State of the City address outlining continuity and population growth targets. Isleifson, who confirmed his bid in May 2026 after signaling intent in 2025, centers his platform on enhanced public safety, sustainable growth, and community services but has conducted limited public campaigning to date. With registration closing September 22 and no additional contenders registered as of mid-August, the two-candidate dynamic shapes current implied probabilities ahead of the vote.
