This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the FL-27 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).**Republican Maria Elvira Salazar**, the incumbent since 2021, holds a strong position in Florida’s 27th congressional district ahead of the November 2026 general election. She won re-election in 2024 by roughly 21 points, and recent fundraising and primary filings show her well-positioned against limited Republican challengers. The district’s new map, signed by Governor Ron DeSantis in May 2026 and upheld by courts, contributes to an expected statewide 24–4 Republican advantage and reinforces the seat’s partisan tilt. Democratic primary contenders remain fragmented with no dominant candidate emerging in early polling, limiting immediate general-election threat levels. Broader South Florida trends and Democratic performance in recent special elections have drawn some trader attention, but these have not materially altered the seat’s competitive profile. Primary elections scheduled for August 18, 2026, will narrow both fields before the November contest. Current market pricing reflects the incumbent’s structural advantages and the district’s underlying partisan balance.
