A cold front and subsequent polar air mass intrusion have driven the sharp cooldown in São Paulo, positioning 13–14°C as the leading market-implied outcomes for the September 7 maximum temperature. Recent official forecasts from Climatempo and aligned models show daytime highs near 12–13°C under mostly cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle possible, following the front’s passage over the weekend. This represents a significant departure from early-September climatological averages of 22–25°C, reflecting strong southerly flow and reduced insolation. Model consensus supports limited warming, though slight variations in timing or cloud cover could nudge the peak toward 15°C or hold it at 12°C. Updated National Meteorological Service guidance and morning observations on September 7 will provide the final resolution data for traders.
