Recent National Weather Service and local model guidance for Denver on September 5 points to a high-pressure ridge sustaining above-average warmth, with afternoon highs most likely reaching the low 90s under partly cloudy skies. Strong September insolation, light northerly or variable winds, and dew points in the 50s–60s support efficient surface heating, while scattered afternoon convection poses limited risk of cooling the daily maximum. Ensemble spreads and minor differences in cloud timing or boundary-layer mixing explain the tight market clustering around 90–93°F bins, consistent with climatological September variability where daily highs routinely fluctuate several degrees around the 83°F normal. Official observations from Denver International Airport will resolve the market.
