Recent forecasts from sources including the Met Office, Yr.no, and WeatherBug indicate Shanghai will see a high of 30–31°C on September 4, 2026, with partly cloudy skies, northeast winds of 10–15 mph, and 30–50% chances of showers or thunderstorms. These conditions, typical for early September in the region, limit solar heating and keep maximum temperatures near the long-term average of 27–30°C. Model consensus shows no significant warming trend or clear skies that would push readings to 32°C or higher, while precipitation and humidity support the market's heavy weighting toward 30°C and 31°C outcomes. Updated model runs and official briefings expected overnight will provide the final data before resolution.
