Forecast models and National Weather Service guidance indicate a shift to onshore flow and widespread cloud cover with rain expected across western Washington on September 2, limiting daytime heating and pointing to a high temperature near 66–67°F. This cooler marine air mass, combined with precipitation that reduces incoming solar radiation, contrasts with the September climatological average high near 74°F and explains why market-implied odds concentrate in the 64–69°F range. Recent model runs show consistency in the timing of the frontal passage, with only minor spread in peak values depending on exact rainfall intensity and wind gusts. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model cycles remain the key near-term catalysts for any adjustments in trader positioning.
