Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate a highest temperature on September 2 in Mexico City most likely between 23°C and 25°C, consistent with the tightly clustered market-implied probabilities for those outcomes. The city's high elevation near 2,240 meters moderates daytime maxima even in late summer, while the ongoing rainy season drives afternoon convective clouds and thunderstorms that frequently limit peak heating through reduced insolation and evaporative cooling. Historical September averages place daily highs near 23–24°C, with occasional spikes above 25°C only under clearer, drier conditions. Minor model differences in the timing and coverage of precipitation introduce the main uncertainty, keeping probabilities for 26°C or higher and sub-22°C outcomes notably lower. Updated National Meteorological Service runs and satellite observations in the next 48 hours will refine these details ahead of resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
