Recent numerical weather prediction models, including consensus from GFS and ECMWF runs, indicate Mexico City overnight lows on September 2 will likely settle near 13°C, consistent with the city's 2,240 m elevation and typical early-September radiative cooling under partly cloudy, moist conditions with scattered showers. This range aligns with climatological September minima around 13°C, where dew points near 12–14°C and light winds limit further drops despite high relative humidity. The tight clustering of market-implied odds between 11–14°C reflects genuine forecast uncertainty from variable cloud cover and urban heat island effects, rather than any anomalous cold surge or heatwave. Updated model guidance over the next 24–48 hours, particularly on precipitation timing and boundary-layer mixing, will be the key catalyst for shifts in trader positioning before resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
