Recent official forecasts from Environment and Climate Change Canada and supporting model runs indicate a September 5 high near 23–25 °C in Toronto, with partly cloudy skies, light northerly flow, and only a 30 % chance of afternoon showers. This consensus, drawn from GFS guidance and surface observations on September 4, positions 24 °C as the modal outcome while leaving modest room for 25 °C if daytime heating exceeds expectations. The market-implied probabilities align closely with these short-range projections and historical climatology (average high ~23.9 °C), reflecting traders’ assessment of limited upside potential under stable high pressure and minimal warm-air advection. Updated model cycles and the final observed maximum will determine resolution within the narrow temperature band.
