Recent forecasts from multiple meteorological models indicate a high near 30°C in Shanghai on September 6, driven by persistent northeast winds, moderate cloud cover, and scattered light rain or drizzle that limits daytime heating. Current conditions show surface temperatures around 29–31°C with dew points in the low 20s, consistent with early September climatology where average highs hover near 29–30°C before seasonal cooling accelerates. Model consensus, including guidance from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration, favors a peak of 29–30°C over higher values, as increased moisture and northerly flow suppress stronger warming. With resolution just two days away, any last-minute adjustments to cloud or precipitation timing could shift the exact maximum, though the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around 29–31°C reflects this stable forecast signal.
