Current National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate Chicago's overnight low on September 6 will fall in the mid-60s under mostly clear skies and light northeast winds following recent hot, humid conditions. Radiational cooling overnight, with dew points in the low-to-mid 60s, supports this range, though lake-effect moderation and any residual cloud cover could limit the drop. Model consensus clusters near 64–68°F, aligning with climatological averages near 63°F, while the market's close spreads across bins reflect uncertainty in exact minimum timing and local variations. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the overnight period will provide the clearest signals for resolution.
