Market-implied odds favor 32°C as Guangzhou’s highest temperature on September 6, driven by short-range model consensus showing partly cloudy to overcast skies with 50–70% rain probability that curbs peak insolation. Cloud cover and scattered showers reduce surface heating compared with clearer conditions, keeping the maximum near or slightly below the 1991–2020 September 6 average of 32.7°C. Humidity near 70–80% and light northerly winds further moderate daytime rises, while historical analogs indicate rain days typically cap highs 1–3°C lower than dry ones. Traders appear to weigh these atmospheric factors against minor model spread that could allow 33°C if convection stays limited or 31°C if showers arrive earlier. Official station readings tomorrow will resolve the outcome.
