Alexander Zverev enters Wimbledon 2026 as the No. 2 seed and recent French Open champion, bringing strong momentum from a 38-10 season record and a grass-court semifinal run in Halle. The German faces rising Belgian Alexander Blockx, ranked No. 37, in the first round. Zverev holds a perfect head-to-head record after straight-sets clay wins over the 21-year-old in Rome and earlier this season. Blockx, who reached a career-high ranking in May, has shown promise with aggressive baseline play but remains questionable after an ankle sprain at Roland Garros. The grass surface favors Zverev’s powerful serve and experience, though Blockx’s youth and prior competitive sets introduce limited upset potential in what traders view as a mismatch.
