Mees Rottgering, the 18-year-old Dutch former junior world No. 1 now ranked inside the ATP top 500, faces Irish wild card Peter Buldorini in the first round of the 2026 Dublin Challenger on grass. Rottgering brings strong junior pedigree, recent senior-level progress, and college momentum from Wake Forest, where he earned ACC MVP honors. Buldorini, a 21-year-old right-hander ranked near No. 991 with a career-high of 685, benefits from home support at Elm Park and recent Davis Cup exposure. The surface favors aggressive baseline play and serve-volley elements, while limited head-to-head data and both players’ early-career trajectories leave room for variance in a match that resolves on court results.
