Recent numerical weather prediction runs, including GFS and ECMWF ensembles, position Milan’s September 6 maximum near 32°C under stable anticyclonic conditions featuring clear skies, light easterly flow, and strong daytime insolation across the Po Valley. These factors favor efficient surface heating with minimal cloud cover or advection of cooler air, elevating the implied probability for 32°C (54.5%) and 31°C (32.5%) while limiting upside risk for 33°C or higher. Late-summer climatology shows typical highs of 25–28°C, but the current ridge has produced a several-degree positive anomaly persisting into the forecast window. Updated model guidance and official Italian meteorological briefings in the next 12–24 hours will refine the exact peak ahead of market resolution.
