Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models place the overnight low for New York City on September 5, 2026, in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, aligning with the market's leading 70-71°F and 68-69°F bins. Northerly flow and clear-to-partly cloudy skies under a high-pressure ridge have supported gradual cooling after daytime highs near 81°F, consistent with early-September climatology of 64-66°F average lows. Recent observations from LaGuardia and JFK show minimums holding above 65°F amid light winds, with only a 30% chance of late-night showers potentially limiting further radiative cooling. Updated model runs and official station readings through midnight will determine final resolution.
