Current National Weather Service and private model guidance points to an overnight low in San Francisco on September 6 in the mid- to upper-50s °F, aligning with the 1991–2020 climatological average of 56.1 °F for the date. Persistent onshore flow from the Pacific and the typical marine layer will limit radiative cooling overnight, while light winds and clear to partly cloudy skies prevent significant temperature drops below seasonal norms. Recent observations from downtown and airport stations show daily lows holding in the 55–61 °F range through early September, reinforcing trader consensus around the 56–59 °F buckets. With resolution based on official minimum readings, any late-model shift in wind or cloud cover could adjust the final value within a narrow range.
