Recent short-term forecasts from sources including WeatherBug and ensemble models indicate Miami highs on September 2 clustering in the upper 80s to low 90s, with partly sunny skies and afternoon thunderstorm chances that could moderate peak readings. This positions the market's leading implied probabilities on 90-91°F (51%) and 92-93°F (30.5%) as aligned with expected late-summer warmth driven by elevated sea-surface temperatures and lingering El Niño influences favoring above-normal conditions across the Southeast. Historical climatology shows early-September Miami highs averaging near 88-90°F, with recent August extremes (including a 100°F record) underscoring persistent heat but also typical convective capping. Traders appear to weigh model consensus against potential forecast revisions from the National Weather Service as the date approaches, while lower-probability bins reflect uncertainty in exact storm timing and intensity.
