Recent National Weather Service forecasts indicate overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s for New York City on September 2, driven by a warm, humid air mass with cloud cover and light winds that limit radiational cooling. Historical averages near 65.5°F provide context, yet current conditions favor the market's leading outcomes of 68-69°F (38% implied probability), 66-67°F (26%), and 70-71°F (26%). Model consensus on minimal temperature drops from daytime highs near 74-79°F supports this clustering, with lower probabilities assigned to cooler thresholds below 66°F amid ongoing late-summer moisture. Updated guidance ahead of resolution will refine these trader-assessed odds.
