National Weather Service forecasts call for a high near 93°F in Atlanta on September 21 under mostly sunny skies with light winds and a 20% chance of afternoon thunderstorms after 3pm. This positions the peak temperature in the 92-93°F range favored by traders, supported by a ridge allowing daytime heating while dew points near 72°F and modest instability limit early convection that could otherwise suppress the maximum. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread on the thermal profile through midday, though any earlier or stronger storms could pull readings toward 90-91°F. Updated model runs and NWS briefings in the next 24 hours will refine the timing of potential cooling.
