Edward Etty, a 24-year-old Dutch player competing regularly on the ITF circuit, meets 18-year-old Japanese prospect Ryo Tabata on outdoor clay at the M15 Alkmaar. Tabata recently achieved a career-high ATP ranking near 913 after strong junior results, including an ITF junior ranking of 30, while Etty focuses on lower-level professional events and enters with momentum from a straight-sets first-round victory over Beren Tan. No prior head-to-head exists. Key variables include Tabata’s transition to senior clay events, Etty’s familiarity with Dutch conditions and recent form, and both players’ limited main-tour experience at this stage of their careers.
