The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The expanded 48-team format for the 2026 FIFA World Cup features 12 groups of four, with the top two finishers from each group plus the eight strongest third-placed sides advancing to the Round of 32. Groups were finalized in the December 2025 draw, creating varied paths where established powers such as Argentina, Brazil, France, Spain, and Germany hold clear advantages based on squad depth and recent tournament results. Host nations including the United States, Mexico, and Canada benefit from home support and favorable scheduling, while underdogs must navigate tougher matchups in the opening three fixtures. Imminent group-stage games starting in mid-June will quickly clarify standings, with tiebreakers focused first on points, then goal difference.
