Recent Met Office and European model consensus points to mild overnight conditions as the main driver behind the market's concentration on 18–20°C lows for London on September 3. Persistent southwesterly flow, high pressure, and extensive cloud cover are limiting radiative cooling, keeping minimum temperatures in the 17–19°C range—well above the long-term early-September average of roughly 13–15°C. Traders are pricing in this forecast stability, with only modest probability assigned to cooler outcomes that would require clearer skies or a sharper northerly shift not currently indicated. The next model updates and any revisions to cloud or wind forecasts remain the key near-term catalysts for shifts in implied probabilities.
