Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and ensemble models point to an overnight low near 59°F for San Francisco on September 8, supporting the leading 58-59°F market bin at 45.5% implied probability amid mild onshore flow and limited marine layer development. Recent days have featured lows in the mid-to-upper 50s under partly cloudy skies, while September climatology shows an average minimum of about 56°F with potential for greater cooling if stratus thickens or winds weaken. The close spread across 56-63°F ranges reflects genuine uncertainty in boundary-layer conditions and local urban heat island effects, with new model runs and observations expected to refine guidance before resolution. Traders weigh these variables against historical variability in the city's coastal microclimate.
