The Mega Gengar ex Special Illustration Rare from Ascended Heroes trades well below the $1,051.08 threshold, with raw near-mint copies currently valued around $898–$1,049 amid consistent recent sales. Sustained downward momentum—down roughly 10% over 30 days and over 35% in the prior quarter—reflects high liquidity, elevated post-release supply, and fading initial collector frenzy for the 2026 chase card. Strong verified volume on platforms like eBay and TCGplayer reinforces trader consensus that prices will remain under the line by September 30. A realistic upset would require an abrupt demand surge from unannounced grading surges, major tournament visibility, or broader TCG market rebound, though current trends show little sign of such a reversal in the short window.
