The September 8 edition was won by GM Lê Quang Liêm on 9.5/11 via superior tiebreaks over GM Hikaru Nakamura and IM Tobias Koelle, highlighting how recent form and late surges can overcome higher-rated seeds in a field exceeding 400–500 entrants. Consistent contenders include Nakamura, Arjun Erigaisi, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Alireza Firouzja, and Fabiano Caruana, whose high blitz ratings and head-to-head records shape early market pricing, while lower-seeded GMs occasionally podium through strong pairings and tiebreak edges. The September 15 field and any last-minute withdrawals will further influence implied probabilities for the top three.
