Recent confirmation of Grand Theft Auto 6's standard edition pricing at $79.99 for its fall 2026 console launch has anchored trader confidence in a "No" outcome for a $100+ base cost. Take-Two Interactive's announcement ahead of pre-orders, paired with CEO comments framing the tag as an industry-appropriate value for the anticipated scale and detail, aligns with longstanding AAA norms around $70–$80. Strong projected sales volume and the availability of separate premium editions near $100 further reduce any incentive for a higher standard price. While an unexpected post-launch hike or broad reinterpretation of resolution criteria remains theoretically possible, historical patterns and the locked-in pre-order structure make such shifts highly improbable.
