Both athletes exited the recent WTT Contender Zagreb quarterfinals, with Kihara falling to Zhu Yuling and Chen Yi to Sakura Yokoi, underscoring inconsistent recent form amid a deep field. Kihara's experience and steady results in 2025 majors contrast with Chen Yi's aggressive right-hand attack and rising momentum as a 21-year-old Chinese prospect. Late roster confirmations, surface-specific adjustments, or fatigue from the congested schedule could shift trader consensus in either direction before the match resolves.
