Cobolli and Shelton enter as an untested doubles pairing on grass, where Shelton’s lefty serve and athleticism offer immediate advantages in a fast-paced Halle setting. The American recently defeated Cobolli in the Munich singles final on clay, adding an unusual layer to their new team chemistry ahead of this round-of-16 clash. Seeded third, Pavlasek and Vavassori bring proven doubles experience and strong recent team rankings, though their form on grass remains less documented this week. Recent schedule notes show both sides navigating packed calendars, with limited doubles-specific preparation for the higher-ranked singles players. Trader focus centers on how the new pairing adapts to net play and returns against a veteran combination accustomed to coordinated tactics.
