Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces pending felony charges including attempted first-degree murder stemming from a May 13, 2026, shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, after an altercation with Joshua Fox that left both men wounded. As of mid-August 2026, the case remains in the pre-trial phase with no scheduled trial date, jury selection, or verdict reported, and Eatherly has posted bond in the primary case while navigating separate misdemeanor proceedings. Tennessee's stand-your-ground provisions and potential self-defense arguments have surfaced in public discussion, alongside surveillance footage and witness accounts that could factor into plea negotiations or trial outcomes. The 85.5% trader consensus on "No" reflects the extended timeline for felony prosecutions, the presumption of innocence until proven beyond a reasonable doubt, and the realistic possibility of reduced charges, acquittal, or delayed resolution before any market cutoff.
