Recent polling in Berlin shows AfD support hovering near 18-19 percent in July surveys from INSA and others, placing the party in a tight cluster with Die Linke, CDU, and the Greens ahead of the September 20 vote for the Abgeordnetenhaus. This fragmented field, combined with Berlin's proportional representation system and historical overhang mandates, produces variable seat projections around the low-to-mid 20s and sustains close probabilities across adjacent ranges in the market. National AfD momentum at roughly 28 percent and momentum from eastern state contests have lifted expectations, yet the capital's distinct voter base and competition from established parties limit further separation. Late shifts in turnout, coalition signals, or final-week events could still adjust final seat totals within the resolution window.
