Following the January special forces operation in Venezuela that captured Nicolás Maduro, Washington has emphasized joint task forces, maritime interdictions of suspected drug vessels, and land-based partnerships in countries including Colombia, Ecuador, and others under the Americas Counter-Cartel Coalition and Western Hemisphere Joint Task Force. Recent diplomatic moves, such as Secretary Rubio’s September engagements and military aid reallocations to partner nations, reinforce this pattern of collaboration with conservative administrations. No official announcements or verified deployments indicate plans for additional full-scale invasions of sovereign states before year-end, aligning with trader consensus reflected in the 93.5% implied probability for “No.”
