Persistent supply constraints and strong AI demand for large language model workloads continue to anchor RTX 5090 rental rates near the $0.45–$0.55 range as traders weigh August 2026 spot and on-demand data. Limited early production volumes, DRAM shortages, and NVIDIA’s allocation priorities toward enterprise buyers have kept consumer and cloud supply tight despite the card’s January 2025 launch and power-efficiency gains over prior generations. Recent platform listings show median on-demand pricing around $0.54 per hour after earlier declines, with utilization remaining elevated above 80 percent. Key swing factors ahead of October include additional board-partner shipment volumes, any hyperscaler procurement shifts, and whether efficiency improvements or new capacity finally ease the floor without triggering oversupply.
