Incumbent Keith Ellison holds a commanding position in trader consensus for the 2026 Minnesota Attorney General election, reflecting his strong Democratic primary performance and long tenure in the role. Republican nominee Ron Schutz has narrowed the gap in recent KSTP/SurveyUSA polling, tying Ellison at 43% with 15% undecided ahead of the November 3 general election. Key factors include voter focus on Medicaid fraud enforcement records, consumer protection actions, and the race's positioning as one of Minnesota's more competitive statewide contests. The market's implied probabilities align with historical Democratic dominance in the office while accounting for potential shifts from undecided voters and turnout in battleground areas. No major late-breaking developments have altered the core dynamics since the August primaries.
