Aaron Ford holds a 64% implied probability of winning Washoe County in the 2026 Nevada governor race, ahead of incumbent Joe Lombardo at 33%, according to current trader consensus. Primaries concluded June 9 with both candidates securing their nominations—Lombardo by over 90% on the Republican side and Ford defeating Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill by roughly 2-to-1 on the Democratic side. The general election on November 3 features a closely contested statewide matchup shaped by economic concerns including housing costs, gas prices, and job growth, alongside national political dynamics. Washoe’s voter base, encompassing Reno and surrounding areas with a mix of suburban, university-influenced, and moderate voters, has historically shown more competitive results than Clark County, supporting the current pricing that favors Ford in this specific county despite Lombardo’s incumbency advantages elsewhere.
