Marco Cecchinato holds a clear edge over Harry Wendelken in their first-round Zagreb Challenger clash on red clay, driven by his superior ranking (around 182 vs. 226), clay-court expertise as a former top-20 player with three ATP titles, and recent Challenger form including straight-sets wins over Daniel Michalski and Santiago Rodriguez Taverna. The 33-year-old Italian thrives on baseline rallies suited to the surface, while 24-year-old Brit Wendelken, coming off a loss to Frederico Ferreira Silva in Francavilla, relies on emerging ITF momentum but lacks Cecchinato's experience. No head-to-head record exists, no injuries reported, and no weather concerns noted for the May 11 outdoor match, leaving trader consensus focused on Cecchinato's stylistic matchup advantage.
