Drake’s surprise May 15 release of Iceman, bundled with two additional albums, has fueled strong early tracking for first-week equivalent units on the Billboard 200. Industry projections from Hits Daily Double center on 480,000–520,000 units, split almost evenly between the market’s leading 450k–500k and 500k–550k outcomes. This tight contest stems from the final days of the tracking week, where streaming velocity, pure sales, and any last-minute playlist boosts could tip the final tally either side of 500k. Historical precedent for Drake’s major drops supports these blockbuster figures, though the simultaneous triple-album strategy adds uncertainty around how total consumption will distribute across the three projects.
