Therese Terlaje secured the Democratic nomination in Guam’s August 1 primary with a narrow victory over Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio, positioning her ticket against Republican Vicente Ada, who won his party’s primary by a wider margin. With the general election set for November 3, trader consensus assigns Terlaje a leading implied probability, reflecting Guam’s recent Democratic performance in territorial races and the absence of major late developments that have shifted the matchup. Candidate forums in late August highlighted differences on economic development, childcare costs, tourism recovery, and healthcare access, yet neither side has reported polling surges or setbacks that would alter the current positioning. The race remains subject to standard variables such as turnout and last-minute campaign events before resolution.
