This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the London City Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eglc If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models show London’s maximum temperature on September 4, 2026, centered in the low-to-mid 20s °C, with trader consensus split between 22–23 °C amid lingering uncertainty from variable cloud, showers, and westerly flow.** Official guidance from the Met Office indicates a daytime high of 24 °C under mostly cloudy conditions with a 40 % rain chance and westerly winds around 15–16 mph, while ensemble and global models (GFS/ECMWF-derived) cluster nearer 20–22 °C. Thursday’s warmer, brighter spell (up to 26–27 °C) gives way to cooler maritime air and increased cloud cover on Friday, limiting surface heating despite the season’s still-long daylight. Wind direction and timing of any showers are key variables that can shift the daily maximum by 1–2 °C; stronger or more persistent westerlies enhance cooling, while breaks in cloud allow brief warming. Historical September averages for London hover near 19–20 °C, so current conditions sit slightly above normal but remain far from late-summer peaks. With resolution only 48 hours away, fresh model runs and observational updates from the Met Office will be the primary drivers of any further probability shifts in the closely matched 22–23 °C outcomes.
