Official National Weather Service observations recorded a 55°F minimum in Denver on September 15, 2026, four degrees above the 1991–2020 normal of 51°F and well above historical lows near 38°F. This placed the outcome squarely in the 54–55°F bucket that traders priced at 55.5% implied probability. A modest frontal passage and increased cloud cover moderated overnight radiational cooling compared with clearer, calmer nights that favor sharper drops toward the 45°F or below range. Model guidance had shown limited spread, with most solutions converging on lows in the mid-50s, supporting the close contest between the top two outcomes while keeping sub-50°F probabilities suppressed.
