Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a minimum temperature in New York City on September 9 near 67–70°F, driven by mild southwesterly flow ahead of a weak frontal system. Overnight lows from September 8–9 are expected in the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies with light winds, while daytime readings climb into the mid-to-upper 80s. This aligns with climatological norms for early September, when average minima hover near 65°F, though current guidance shows slightly warmer conditions due to limited cool-air advection. Traders appear to weight the 70–71°F bin most heavily based on the latest model runs, with limited risk of sharper cooling unless unexpected northerly shifts develop before resolution.
