Second-quarter revenue rose 28% year-over-year to $60.8 billion, driven by advertising strength, while the earnings miss stemmed from $2.4 billion in legal charges and severance; adjusted operating income still advanced. Recent launch of the Muse AI agent has prompted analyst upgrades, including JPMorgan’s shift to Overweight with an $820 target, supporting a consensus “Strong Buy” rating and average price target near $757. Key near-term influences include the September 21 dividend record date, ongoing CapEx guidance of $130–$145 billion for the year, and the October 28 earnings release, with traders monitoring ad demand trends and broader equity volatility measures.
