Esport Academy Copenhagen enters this BO3 opener in the Logitech G Play Connect closed qualifier with a Danish roster featuring consistent performers like Fessor and bekker, backed by recent C-tier cup success in ESL Challenger League events and a near .500 record over their last 45 maps. QUAZAR, a Russian side with an eight-player pool including IGL gehji and standouts like kaiori and newt, brings broader tracked match volume and a similar 51% win rate, plus prior closed-qualifier experience against European academy squads. Key variables include map pool familiarity on standard pools like Mirage and Nuke, online conditions favoring execution over LAN pressure, and the high stakes of securing advancement in a $100k-event qualifier where early wins shape seeding. Recent roster stability for both sides and EAC’s stronger short-term European form provide the main context for trader positioning ahead of the August 27 matchup.

In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
