National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a daily high near 91°F for Houston on September 9, driving the 56% market-implied probability for the 90-91°F bin. Afternoon thunderstorm chances around 50% introduce cloud cover and evaporative cooling that limit peak readings, while elevated humidity and light easterly flow support values in the lower 90s rather than the mid-90s seen earlier in the week. Recent model runs show limited spread, with steering patterns favoring onshore moisture that caps intensification; traders appear to weigh these dynamics against historical September averages near 90°F and the narrow window before resolution. Updated NHC and local office guidance tomorrow morning will refine the final observed high.
