Forecast models and National Weather Service guidance indicate a daily maximum near 90–91°F for Houston on September 10, driven by partly sunny skies, southeast winds around 5 mph, and high humidity that limits diurnal cooling overnight. Afternoon thunderstorm chances near 50 percent introduce the main uncertainty, as earlier or more widespread convection could suppress peak readings while delayed activity allows brief warming into the low 90s. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 90.3°F for the date, following several days of 91–96°F readings that have kept the region above normal. Resolution hinges on official observations, with light steering flow and ample boundary-layer moisture the key variables that could shift the outcome by a degree or two.
